This silk scarf has been possibly created to celebrate the 1967 production of Mozart's The Magic Flute at the New York City Metropolitan Opera. The production was designed by artist Marc Chagall who reimagined the costumes and sets to create a colourful, fantastical world. 100% silk. Designed by Luciana Arrighi, (born 1940), who is a Brazilian-born, Australian-raised, Italian production designer. She won an Oscar for the film Howards End in the category Best Art Direction. She has also worked in costume design in theatre and opera, including with Vienna State Opera, Opera Australia and The Royal Opera, Covent Garden. Please note, due to age, the box and the scarf have signs of use and some yellow discoloration to places. However, its a Wearable Art! Beautiful Day or Night. A Fabulous Gift for that Opera Lover.
